Behind The Valet


Russell Davis—our CCO (Chief Cocktail Officer) who oversees monthly box and recipe curation—has been a mixologist for almost a decade, during which he's worked in almost every type of bar imaginable. Known for his rebelliousness, southern charm, and renegade business sense, Russell possesses a signature bartending style that combines proper mixology and craft bartending techniques with speed, knowledge, and showmanship. He was named Nightclub & Bar's 2012 Bartender of the Year and was the most frequent mixologist guest on Spike TV's Bar Rescue. His consulting company, Unlimited Liabilities, has designed the first cocktail glass for space, invented spirits and methods of distillation, and branded bars and bar programs, among other ventures. Academia, a downtown Austin bar focusing on curated cocktails and small bites, is their latest project.

Behind The Valet


Danny Ronen has a great nose and uses it to sniff out what’s new and exciting in the world of international wine/spirits/food/travel. In 2001, Ronen founded DC Spirits, DC's premiere food, wine, and spirits educational organization.  His travels produce words and images that connect chefs, bartenders, importers, producers, and distributors with one another, sparking innovation, inspiration, and an increase in long-term quality and sustainable practices. His writing and recipes/creations can be found in Vanity Fair, SF Chronicle, The New York Times, and Imbibe Magazine. He is  also VP of Projects & Development of Unlimited Liabilities.

Behind the Above a Persimmon


Tyler Hudgens is a former Navy brat who now calls Washington, DC home. Before joining Liquid Productions, she ran a variety of beverage programs along the East Coast and overseas; her most recent role was as Bar Director of The Dabney (one Michelin star), preceded by her time as Head Bartender of The Columbia Room (Best American Cocktail Bar, Tales of the Cocktail, 2017). Tyler is a Bar Ready BAR 5-Day graduate, active member of both the USBG and the DC Craft Bartenders Guild, and travels to work and teach with BAR 5-day, Ultimate Beverage Challenge, Barsmarts, Diageo World Class, Life is Beautiful, Tales of the Cocktail, Food and Wine Festival, and The Washington Cup.

Behind the Taurus Tea Gimlet


Trevor Frye, an award-winning bartender and DC-area native, takes pride in being a part of the city's progressive bar movement. A 15-year veteran of the restaurant and bar industry, he's worked in every facet of the scene, which has led to numerous awards and accolades, both locally and nationally. Trevor currently serves as the proprietor of Wash Line LLC, which will be opening Marble Alley and Five to One in Washington, DC this year.
