Behind the Pear Necessities


A native of Minnesota, Haley Traub has been bartending in New York City cocktail bars for nearly a decade. In 2018 she won the national title in Speed Rack, an all-female speed bartending competition that benefits breast cancer research and education. Haley previously worked at Butter & Scotch and Dutch Kills and is currently the general manager at Attaboy, a cocktail bar on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. She lives in Brooklyn with her two French bulldogs, Harold and Walter.

After moving to Brooklyn for art school, Leah Moss started bartending in Manhattan in 2004, and today she works at the Up & Up, a cocktail bar in the West Village. She has won many awards, including Speed Rack Tristate 2019 and the 2019 NY Cocktail Expo’s Best Cocktail of the Year. Leah is an authority on vermouth and loves making delicious, beautiful cocktails but in her spare time paints landscapes, visits distilleries, and drinks different, magical things wherever she goes.

Behind the Wolfe & Wehr


Originally from the Northeast, Jason Kilgore has run bar programs on both coasts and in Taipei. He currently resides in Brooklyn, running the bar program at Top Quality and the forthcoming Lower Quality, while still bartending at Dear Irving and [bā’sik]. In his free time, you can find him fostering animals, going on riverboat adventures, and making his own beef jerky.
