J’Nai Williams was born and raised in New Orleans. The mother of an energetic two-year-old and a graduate of Louisiana State University, J’Nai has been bartending for nine years and has worked in almost every type of bar environment, from college bar, dive bar, and sports bar to classic cocktail bar and fine-dining bar—even a dessert bar. She has competed in many bartending and cocktail competitions and during the pandemic began making cocktail tutorials on TikTok and Instagram Reels to keep her skills sharp and build an online community. A modern-day Renaissance person, Ana Cabrera Marquez has studied everything from mixology to completing the level one course of Court of Master Sommeliers to earning a B.A. in Honors Studies with a Legal Studies minor. Through her more than 12 years of bartending, she’s discovered her passion lies in pairing her love of hospitality with being involved in her city and community. She is the beverage director, bartender, and wine buyer for Biga on the Banks and owner and head mixologist for Suck It Up S.A.
Steva Casey is a bartender at the Atomic Lounge in Birmingham, AL. A twenty-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Steva has held almost every type of job that can be found in a bar or restaurant. She has worked on numerous event projects, including currently running Tiki by the Sea, a trade-focused program centered on sugarcane education and tropical influence. Her cocktail recipes and ideas about building drinks have been published in Cosmopolitan, Men’s Journal, and CNN.com. When asked to explain her job, she quickly responds that it's mainly about being a good host and that means creating a safe and inclusive environment for all. Known for being the unofficial ambassador of Birmingham, Steva is often traveling to expand her palate and tell the world about the greatness of the food and drinking culture in Alabama. She owns more Scotch than dresses, loves baseball, and has tried every single kind of cheese that she’s ever seen.
