Bartenders Behind the Vodka Adventures

Behind Under Sage Drinking

Russell Davis, our CCO (Chief Cocktail Officer) who oversees  monthly box and recipe curation, has been hailed "The People's Champion of Bartending" (Mutineer Magazine) and "The Aristocrat of the Working Class" (Nightclub.com). He continues to seize international attention  as a bar/mixology/spirits consultant, television personality, and bar industry entrepreneur, paving the way for the new era of the celebrity mixologist. Russell was co-star of Spike TV’s Bar Rescue, served as president of the Texas Chapter of USBG, and was named Nightclub & Bar's 2012 Bartender of the Year. He's also president of Unlimited Liabilities, an elite bar/spirits industry company comprised of some of the world's best bar talent, and CEO of Cocktails & Dreams, Inc.

Behind the Ralston's Black Peppered Old Fashioned

Danny Ronen has a great nose and uses it to sniff out what’s new and exciting in the world of international wine/spirits/food/travel. In 2001, Ronen founded DC Spirits, DC's premiere food, wine, and spirits educational organization.  His travels produce words and images that connect chefs, bartenders, importers, producers, and distributors with one another, sparking innovation, inspiration, and an increase in long-term quality and sustainable practices. His writing and recipes/creations can be found in Vanity Fair, SF Chronicle, The New York Times, and Imbibe Magazine. He is  also VP of Projects & Development of Unlimited Liabilities.

Behind the Shrub-a-Dub-Dub

Kate Gerwin—famous for being the first American and first woman to become the Bols Bartending World Champion in 2014—has deep roots in the food and wine industry, with encyclopedic knowledge of food preparation and history as well as extensive experience in proper bartending. Gerwin owns a bar in Albuquerque and is a partner in several bars in North Dakota. A former instructor at the Cordon Bleu in Arizona as well as the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont, Gerwin began her career in wine as a sommelier and moved on to cocktails: “I opened a restaurant and did wine pairings, but cocktails are more creative.” She is also Project Manager of Unlimited Liabilities. With the great work of people like Gerwin, respect for the craft of bartending has returned.
