The name says it all: St. George All Purpose Vodka is the perfect base for building a great cocktail. According to Kellie Thorn, “It's an elegant vodka with character, but its best feature is its incredible texture. The mouthfeel is lush. It's a great addition to the home bar.” St. George’s secret is blending their flagship pear brandy with a non-GMO base spirit, then filtering, to create a classic vodka.
Sother Teague recommends Smirnoff’s Classic Recipe No. 21 Vodka “for a number of reasons, not least of which is that it’s a high-quality product that can be located universally. It’s crisp and clean with no lingering aftertaste and most closely adheres to the textbook definition of vodka. It’s uncommon for something so well made and category defining to be so reasonably priced.” Smirnoff’s Classic Recipe No. 21 Vodka was awarded a Double Gold medal, the highest award, at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka is a craft vodka made from locally sourced Pennsylvania potatoes and 100% Champagne yeast for fermentation. “It's one of the most awarded craft vodkas in the world, and one of my favorites to work with—the potato distillate lends a really round, full-body, with some fun vanilla and cocoa notes,” says Tyler Hudgens.
Recommended amount: To make all 12 drinks, you'll need 25 oz of vodka; a medium (750 ml) bottle will be your best bet.
Recommended barware: A few different jiggers that measure 1/2, 3/4, 1 1/2, and 2 oz, as well as a strainer, shaker, mixing glass, bar spoon, citrus juicer or reamer, and fine strainer. These are not all strictly necessary, but will improve your mixology experience.

Recommended ice: To make all 12 cocktails in one go, you'll need about 5 pounds of ice (5 ice trays’ worth).
