This month’s box is crafted by Dan Watson, the creative force behind Never Say Dive, Cleveland’s beloved high/low cocktail bar known for smart riffs on classics and an inviting, easygoing vibe. With over 20 years in the food and beverage world, Dan brings deep rum expertise, global training, and playful creativity to every pour.
For Rum Pum Pum Pum, Dan drew inspiration from three cocktail foundations: one classic, one modern classic, and one classic tiki drink. Two of his favorite flavor pairings—apple + strawberry and coffee + banana—take center stage, creating a lineup that’s bold, rhythmic, and full of festive personality.
When asked what inspired the cocktails in this month’s box, Dan said: “These are riffs on Classics and Modern Classics. I wanted to showcase some of my favorite flavor pairings, while keeping everything approachable and fun for home bartenders.”
