Mezcalloween VI is our most theatrical box yet, three mezcal cocktails that invite you to play, each one built around a trick. One sneaks. One transforms. One smokes. Every recipe starts with an infusion you brew yourself, steeping botanicals directly into the mezcal before the mixing even begins. This box doesn't just hand you 12 cocktails. It hands you a cauldron.
Created with Ed Rey, Chicago bartender and the creative force behind Ed Eats, this limited-edition cocktail kit includes three original mezcal recipes designed around approachable techniques that invite experimentation and reward curiosity.
This box is all about infusions. An infusion is exactly what it sounds like: you steep an ingredient directly into a spirit, letting its flavors, colors, and aromatics absorb over time. Think of it like making tea, except instead of water, you're using mezcal. The longer it steeps, the deeper the flavor. In this box, hibiscus turns the mezcal deep and floral, butterfly pea flower turns it blue, and orange spice black tea brings warm citrus and baking spice. You're not just mixing drinks. You're building them from the ground up.
Great cocktails don't have to be complicated. Just like cooking, the smallest techniques often have the biggest impact. A simple infusion, a thoughtfully crafted syrup, or a touch of smoke can completely transform a spirit. This collection was created to showcase three distinct expressions of mezcal through approachable techniques that invite experimentation and reward curiosity. Every spirit has a story. Every ritual leaves its mark.
We recommend pairing each cocktail with a cult classic for the full Mezcalloween experience. Make your drinks before the opening credits roll. From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) for the first cocktail, because it starts one way and ends somewhere completely different, just like the drink. The Exorcist (1973) for the second, because good and evil fighting for control in real time pairs perfectly with a color shift happening in your glass. And Hocus Pocus (1993) for the third, because nothing pairs better with a Palo Santo smoke ritual than three witches and a cauldron.

To make this box, you’ll need a few basic tools not included. While it’s nice to have proper bar gear, it’s far from required. A tablespoon can sub for a jigger, two cups work as a shaker, any spoon stirs just fine, and you’re good to go. Shake it up your way!

What is inside each box?
Each Shaker & Spoon box contains three original recipes from award winning bartenders that make 12 drinks total, plus all the syrups, mixers, garnishes, and extras to bring them to life.
Do I have to use the recommended spirits each month?
We provide spirit recommendations to help you get the best flavor match for each box, but you're absolutely encouraged to use whatever you already have on hand. Our recipes are designed to be flexible, so feel free to make them your own.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is included in the price of all subscriptions and one-time boxes. Shipping rates for other products are listed on their individual product pages.
When will my order ship?
All non-subscription orders ship within 2–3 business days (often sooner!). Subscription boxes ship for delivery around mid-month, and you'll receive tracking as soon as they head out. For new subscription orders placed after the 23rd of the month, your first box will roll to the following month. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 3–7 days.
Where can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive tracking information so you can follow it right on the carrier's website. If you don't receive tracking, just reach out to us at help@shakerandspoon.com and we'll be happy to help.
