Midnight Bodega Run is inspired by that late-night stop we all made at some point. Walking in for one thing and leaving with everything you didn't know you needed but were exactly right about wanting. This box is that same impulse, grown up.
Created with Gabe Orta -- co-founder of Broken Shaker and one of the most celebrated bartenders in American cocktail culture, earning multiple James Beard Award semifinalist and finalist recognitions for his innovative cocktail programs -- this limited-edition kit includes three original pisco cocktails built from the flavors that lived in that fridge and on that shelf. Grape soda, instant ramen, lychee soda, turned into something you'd actually want to sip slowly.
This month's box is all about pisco, a South American brandy distilled from grapes. Two countries make it, Chile and Peru, and they make it very differently. Peruvian pisco can only be distilled once, cannot be aged, and no water can be added after distillation, which is what gives it that intense, aromatic, grape-forward character. Chilean pisco allows multiple distillations, can blend grape varietals, and gives producers more flexibility. This month we're recommending Pisco Control, a Chilean pisco, which is triple distilled to achieve that crystal clear, clean, and smooth finish. If you're an N/A drinker, we recommend a double strength white tea.
Inside the box, you'll find house-made syrups, premium ingredients, and step-by-step recipes for 12 bar-quality drinks at home. Flavor highlights include Concord grape, hibiscus, toasted rice, kombu, hojicha, shiitake ginger, lychee, lemongrass, and the kind of late-night depth that only pisco can anchor.
This box is a little wild, a little nostalgic, and completely its own thing. It's not nostalgia for nostalgia's sake. It's proof that the best cravings never really go away, they just learn to make a drink.

To make this box, you’ll need a few basic tools not included. While it’s nice to have proper bar gear, it’s far from required. A tablespoon can sub for a jigger, two cups work as a shaker, any spoon stirs just fine, and you’re good to go. Shake it up your way!

What is inside each box?
Each Shaker & Spoon box contains three original recipes from award winning bartenders that make 12 drinks total, plus all the syrups, mixers, garnishes, and extras to bring them to life.
Do I have to use the recommended spirits each month?
We provide spirit recommendations to help you get the best flavor match for each box, but you're absolutely encouraged to use whatever you already have on hand. Our recipes are designed to be flexible, so feel free to make them your own.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is included in the price of all subscriptions and one-time boxes. Shipping rates for other products are listed on their individual product pages.
When will my order ship?
All non-subscription orders ship within 2–3 business days (often sooner!). Subscription boxes ship for delivery around mid-month, and you'll receive tracking as soon as they head out. For new subscription orders placed after the 23rd of the month, your first box will roll to the following month. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 3–7 days.
Where can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive tracking information so you can follow it right on the carrier's website. If you don't receive tracking, just reach out to us at help@shakerandspoon.com and we'll be happy to help.
