Greg Mayer

The Cat's Pajamas

Beginning his journey in the fires of the kitchen, Greg Mayer has worked his way through every aspect of the hospitality industry. After honing his palate on the kitchen line, Greg moved to the front of the house and found his home. His career behind the stick spans more than a decade, bartending all over the country—including Nashville and Austin, where he worked at some of the best bars in the area and racked up a list of competition wins—and consulting in more than just the United States. Over the past few years, Greg worked with the iconic whiskey Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, representing the brand in New York City. Now he’s back in creation mode, bringing more cocktails to the Shaker & Spoon community. 

Lindsay Matteson

Daphne Blake

Lindsay Matteson is a bartender and bar manager who has worked at such notable establishments as the Flatiron Lounge, Pouring Ribbons, canon, and Amor y Amargo, where she served as head bartender. Most recently she was the bar manager at Barnacle, an Italian aperitivo bar, and the classic oyster joint the Walrus and the Carpenter in Seattle, WA. Lindsay also consults on bars and teaches internationally on the subject of mindfulness and theater in bartending. Lindsay also paints cocktails and has a book of her cocktail paintings and art availableon Etsy.

Sother Teague

Professional bartender Sother Teague is the beverage director at NYC’s acclaimed bitters bar Amor y Amargo and cohost of The Speakeasy on Heritage Radio Network, winner of the 2023 Spirited Award for Best Broadcast. A former chef-instructor at the New England Culinary Institute, he’s been featured in Esquire, The New York Times, New York Magazine, Time Out New York, and BuzzFeed, and was named Wine Enthusiast’s Mixologist of the Year in 2018. He later launched the General Store by Amor y Amargo, home to one of the country’s largest selections of bitters, and is the author of I’m Just Here for the Drinks and Let’s Get Blitzen, as well as the creator of Driftwood and Garden Party Bitters.
